ROLE OF CORPORATE ENTREPRENEURSHIP ON THE PERFORMANCE OF MANUFACTURING FIRMS IN NIGERIA.
Abstract
The performance of manufacturing firms in Nigeria is not only crucial for the nation's economic progress but also reflects a broader global context where competition and innovation are paramount. The main objective of the study is to examine the role of corporate entrepreneurship on the performance of Manufacturing firms in Plateau State. The population size for this study was 320 manufacturing firms. A questionnaire was adapted and administered sample 178 of which 162 respondents filled the questionnaire and the response rate was (91%) which was used for data analysis. Purposive sampling technique was applied and the data collected were analyzed using Partial Least Square Structural Equation Modelling (PLS-SEM) with the aid of SmartPLS application software package v. 4.0.9.6. The study also indicated that proactiveness had a positive insignificant relationship with performance of manufacturing firms. The study showed that innovativeness had a positive significant effect on performance of manufacturing firms. The study further revealed that risk-taking had a positive but insignificant effect on performance of manufacturing firms.
