Environmental hazards concepts performance Test (EHCPT) and environmental hazards motivation Questionnaires were developed and administered to 137 randomly selected students from a population of 3332. The instruments were validated and the reliability coefficients of EHCPT, EHCQ and EHMQ were established at r = 0.89, r =0.9 and r= 0.92 respectively PPMC were used. Experimental group was taught using educational animated videos strategy while the control group was taught using conventional method. Research questions were analysed descriptively using means and standard deviations, ranks and sum of ranks. Null hypotheses were verified at P ≤ 0.05 levels using t-tests. Results revealed significant difference in the academic performance of students exposed to the animated videos strategy and those taught using conventional method. From the findings of the study, it was recommended among others, there is need for Federal and State Ministries of Education to provide computers and projectors for teachers to facilitate their teaching with educational animations.
