Podcasting has emerged as a powerful and accessible platform, challenging traditional broadcasting and amplifying voices from around the world. This critical appraisal delves into the genealogy of podcasts, examining the unique dynamics of podcasting in Nigeria, comparing it to developed countries, and presenting international perspectives. It aims to provide a comprehensive analysis of how podcasting has evolved and the challenges and opportunities it has encountered in diverse settings. The analysis begins by recognizing podcasting as a global phenomenon, transcending geographical boundaries.
